Re: Strategic Planning and Work Delegation
Made slow progress yesterday with the Strategic Planning which should lead to Work Delegation - while also attending to other tasks which are internal and external.
There were meetings yesterday for
- Admin
- Research
- IT
- Advocacy
The Theme Teams - Please ensure that the meeting outcomes are recorded and follow up on on.
Some preliminary work has been done on the communication theme by NA and we hope to advance that today.
And
- Training and Education,
- Publications,
- Finance
- Strategic Management
are pending.
Cross-cutting areas are also pending.
Progress has been slow because of where we are starting from but we should not lose momentum.
I have provided a template for work by email.
Do not skip the steps - on Knowledge Management, Representation in OSF and Blogs, Looking at Undone Work, Work left unfinished, before jumping to Task Lists - for our key work areas.
We are investing time and resources in this Strategic Planning after 10 months and we have to make this count. We cannot take longer than this week to try complete this.
Previously these reviews (in person) we had around two days to meet - but to be fair we prepared on the days before and documented later.
The lack of participation and staff ownership previously may have made this just a performative exercise not that concerned with transformation of work and performance.
Although it helped the staff understand the organization at least vaguely, it has not helped to engage the staff and take more responsibility or with the organization.
We are discovering blind spots in
- lack of understanding of what the respective theme is about
You need to know what are the overlapping themes
Understanding the past work for the theme and knowing where to find the information.
Trying to extend the work of the theme beyond the core is not good practice - we can identify and keep cross-cutting areas.
- recent shortfalls in work planning, work allocation and reporting is handicapping us
Here the biggest deficiency is not understanding what an OUTPUT is - this is something that you can point to - you can have activities associated with Tasks that does not yield an Output in that sense -
- knowledge management is weak in general and particular affecting the strategic planning
- it seems that we are weakest here
- several of the OSF and blogs are not designed and organized bearing in mind the audience
- some of these like the dump yards that we put stuff into without design and then never look back.
- key information
- OCW shortfalls and its neglect are coming to haunt us in trying to work remotely
(In particular OSF and Blog access, poor wifi connectivity) is comign to bite us. - https://trello.com/b/ 25dLEqCg/online-collaborative- work. - TH used to be in charge of it - think that TH and SS and AM were requested to look after this - soon we shall have to meet on this.
Algebra requires logical thinking and regular practice, especially when assignments include equations, functions, and complex problem-solving. Students can sometimes struggle to understand the steps behind a solution. algebra assignment help can offer useful guidance by explaining difficult concepts in a straightforward manner. With proper support, learners can improve their mathematical reasoning, manage coursework more effectively, and become more confident when tackling challenging algebra problems. It also encourages a clearer understanding of fundamental mathematical principles.
